Passionate about: Understanding how people shape technology and, in turn, how technology shapes people, and using that understanding to make people’s lives better. Exploring the subtle and nuanced ways that people engage with things (be they digital, material, or otherwise).

Experience: 15+ years of experience doing ethnographic research as a cultural anthropologist. Most recently, I was a Customer Experience Researcher for REI, the largest cooperative and outdoor retailer in the United States.

Studied: Joint PhD in Cultural Anthropology & Middle Eastern Studies (Harvard University), MA in Latin American Studies (The University of Arizona), BS in Geography (Oregon State University)
