Leadership

Our founders' vision and insight defines our culture, principles, and high standards

AnswerLab was founded to meet the need for a trusted customer experience partner, a collaborator who could provide high-quality online consumer research via multiple research tools and methodologies.

Amy Buckner
Amy Buckner, Managing Partner & Founder

Amy has over ten years of experience consulting with Fortune 500 companies to improve their customer experiences. Her functional expertise includes the development and implementation of strategic benchmarking programs, one-on-one usability testing, customer segmentation, and true intent research. She has conducted multiple educational webinars on behalf of the American Marketing Association on topics such as website benchmarking & ROI, intercept research, and Six Sigma & online marketing effectiveness.

Prior to founding AnswerLab, Amy served as Director of Professional Services at Vividence Corporation (now Keynote Systems), a provider of online research products and services. In her tenure, Amy developed the company’s automotive vertical in addition to building and managing a team of consultants who delivered more than 150 market research projects. As a result of her client-focused approach, Amy and her team were nominated by American Honda Motor Company in 2003 for Honda’s “Premier Partner Award.” AnswerLab was again nominated in 2007.

Before Vividence, Amy oversaw and conducted customer experience and user research for SmartPlanet, an e-learning company founded by Ziff-Davis. As Marketing Manager of Member Services, she was one of the first adopters of remote user testing and was responsible for communicating and representing the “voice of the customer” to other functional teams.

Prior to SmartPlanet, Amy managed collateral and website development for a boutique management consulting firm and consulted with the Japanese Ministry of Education for three years in Hokkaido, Japan.

Amy graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University with a degree in English and East Asian Studies. She is fluent in Japanese.
